Sustainability & Green Homes

Does anyone here on the forum invest in Sustainable or Green energy homes? I am interested because I am a Business & Sustainable Tech student, I have recently been learning so much about the field. I do not see a big amount of Sustainable or Green energy homes in Indiana. Are there developers of these types of homes currently in Indiana? Is there a market for these homes and bring in renewable energy for homes? I look forward to hearing your replies!

@Thomas S.

Energy efficiency need not be expensive.

While you can rarely make the case to undertake a renovation solely for the purpose of an energy efficiency retrofit, you can always be opportunistic during any renovation to improve the efficiency of the building.  We've reduced the energy consumption of properties by as much as 70% with no more than a 10-12% increase to our renovation costs.

Of course "Green" is more about marketing than energy efficiency :-)
