How long did it take you to go from full time job to full time investor

Just curious if some of the full time investors out there might be able to share some guidence on how long it took them to go from working for the man full time to living 100% on their investments?

I have been in the game a while and have build up some positive cash flow over the years but it is slow going and I want to hear that someone finally made it too the finish line.

Thanks for your time

Michael, I believe that the speed to full time is based on each person's drive and desire to do so. Some have great jobs and just happen to end up making more money in RE over the years and then decide to make the switch, while others, such as myself, where determined to do so in the shortest amount of time as possible without any harsh risk to finances/family/etc.

It was possible that I could have made the switch a bit faster, but at that point, it would have made for a very tight financial situation at home and lots of restless nights. Waiting until the move is fluid and financially comfortable is highly recommended!
