Can I invest as a broker?
I'm currently in the process of obtaining my real estate salesperson license. After 2 years of being a salesperson, I'm eligible to open a brokerage. I was going to be a salesperson on the side of my 9-5, then transfer into a broker full time.
I was planning on starting an LLC, because I'm planning on doing some minor investments in the meantime of being an agent. Can I create an LLC now, then transfer the LLC into my brokerage? Or should I have a separate LLC for my investments and run a more traditional brokerage, leaving my personal investments out of the picture?
I'm not sure if I can even own a brokerage and have personal investments inside of it. Any help would be appreciated.
