Wholesaling a Bank Owned Home

Hi BP Community, I have a question regarding bank owned homes. I have been researching my county assessors page to finding potential homes to send my direct mailings to, and I've stumbled upon several homes that state the primary owner is a bank or mortgage company. Could those properties be put under contract to wholesale?
