RE License...worth getting??

I'm currently in the aggressive growth stage of building my portfolio and have extensive experience in real estate (as an investor and a commercial real estate investment banker). I'm wondering if getting my real estate license is even appropriate given the fact that I currently work 70+ hours a week at my full-time job, 15-30 hours a week on building my personal real estate portfolio and trying to nap whenever possible. It's easy to say things like, "you'll get access to the MLS" and "you'll be able to save on commissions", but it's my understanding that I would need to park my license with a registered broker, is that correct? I would also assume that entails having to work and subsequently pay-out part of my commissions to that broker in the event I do close on properties.

Any advice from individuals who have had the same thought would be great.....thanks everyone!

@Tanner Thoman  depending on what you do its really pretty good to have.

I befriended a client from Hawaii.. turned out they had 5 mil in cash in an exchange from a sale of a vegas apartment complex ( they sold at the exact right time  06)..

I was not in that part of the industry but I liked them and thought hell if I can find them a 5 mil property they pay cash for that's 100k in my jeans.. took me all of 30 days closedin 75 ( they had 1031 time constraints).. from there we became good friends.. ( always nice to have friends with this kind of wherewhithal) we have been investing together ever since.  Currently building out 30 homes in PDX that we are 50/50 on.. about a 2 mil profit in 20 months.. NOT bad.. all from being a RE broker. and that was the only transaction I did that year. I was Hard money lending at the time. and had a big company but I like people and it was fun.. ! bottom line.
