Getting real estate agent as investor to access MLS
Is it a good idea to get my real estate license to have access to the mls?
I am seeing how much profit is going to my agent. I'm thinking to get my license so I can buy more properties. And possible even sell my own as well.
Anyone else doing this?

I did this, and while it was helpful, it wasn't as beneficial as I initially thought. Having access to the MLS isn't life-changing, and the additional liability that comes with being a licensed agent in Texas is something to seriously consider.
That said, I’ve been able to use the commission from acting as the agent to cover my share of the initial capital when buying with my partner, saving me 4-5 months' worth of savings.
For me, the biggest benefit has been discovering how much I enjoy working with investor clients. Now, I’m focused on building a business that not only provides a great life for my family but also helps fund my own investments.
