Short term rental Inspection from OSE officer

Ricardo Polanco
Posted

Hi everyone, a couple of years ago I bought my house and around a year ago I decided to make some extra income and rent a room through airbnb. I submitted all the information and got the city permit. In the last few month we had 2 visits of officers from the Special Enforcement office, the first time I spoke with them they said they were just trying to see the airbnb listing to make sure it was in compliance with their requirements, I had guests in the room and I didn't let them in. On the 2nd visit I was not at the property but I saw them through the camera. Is it legal for these officers to try to get inside my property? I have heard so many stories about this people accessing properties and starting to place so many no sense violations.
