Happy Thanksgiving biggerpockets!

When I started listening to the podcast back in 2014 I had about nothing except a desire to learn.

It took me a few years but the first househack I bought in 2016 in Minneapolis changed my life. Listening to the podcast gave me the confidence to take that first step.

Househacking for 6 years with most of it in Austin and going to events like BPCON, Best Ever Conference and local meetups gave me the knowledge, confidence and resources to grow my portfolio to include a few dozen BRRRR properties in Louisville and San Antonio. We also recently closed on a mobile home park that I got interested in after having a tough time with some tough C- commercial mutlifamily.

Stay active on this site, listen to podcast, attend local events and go to bigger conferences like BPCON. The folks at Biggerpockets work hard to provide this all for us and all we have to do is show up!

@Jordan Moorhead Thanks for sharing your story. All the inspiration I get from other members helps me continue on my journey as I work towards my goals and dreams which expand with every deal that I buy.

I, too, discovered Biggerpockets about the same time I realized that investing in real estate was the only way I could reach the retirement I wanted for myself. Once I set that goal for myself I got started, but listening to the podcasts and following the forums gave me the confidence I needed to jump right in and get going rapidly and buy the second property and then the third which was a 4-plex which was a big step. I’ve continued to grow and have new goals and bigger dreams today but it’s a lot less scary than it was 4 years ago.

Thanks to @Jordan Moorhead and all the others out there who have posted over the years giving me strength and encouragement.
