Winter is coming!
More of a general post but I think we can make this a super useful thread.
Winter is always known as a dark time in real estate. Especially in the Midwest and other locations with cold cold winters. Typically people say that winter is the time to work on your business process and just hunker down for the spring. Personally, I have no intention of slowing down. I think that this winter will be the most interesting winter for deals to be done. Here in Indianapolis were are already seeing the DOM start to tick up on houses priced a little to high. I think that this winter is going to be the time to snag some of those houses that have been on the market for nearly 3 months. The sellers are eventually going to have to accept that their house is not worth what their agent is telling them. They will eventually have to take a lower offer or hold for longer.
My question is, what do you plan to do this winter in real estate? How do you feel about the upcoming winter? Do you have any predictions on what strategies will prevail?

I'm hoping you're right, we've seen DOM increase a lot! Logically, price reductions are common reaction to activity freezing up. I think it's a great idea to continue to stay active, you just never know what deals are going to come through day to day. You may also look at some greater Indy markets as they could offer even more affordability. Don't forget to winterize any property you purchase in the Winter time if it's vacant as well. Happy hunting!
