How much to raise roof on house?

Hi BP fam - I saw a house today built in 1900. It has a nice walk up attic but the space isn’t functional unless the roof is raised. I think the entire roof needs to be raised. The house is about 1600 sq ft and is a colonial style home. I live in northern NJ. Just based on a google search it seems the price can vary from 50-125k. Can anyone please share how much they believe it would cost to raise a roof? Thank you!

@Amir Ardi Abar The better question is why and do the comps in the neighborhood justify the expense? What you described in a full remodel of at least the upper half of a property. It feels like an HGTV show special when money isn't real.

Thanks Jaron. This house is in an affluent suburb in NJ where the comps do support a larger size renovation if I were able to buy at the right price which is why I’m trying to figure out what a reno would cost as I incision it. The problem is the house is functionally obsolete. It has one bathroom in the whole house and it’s on the second floor so I need to do some major reno to get this house to where it needs to be. There is alot of upside in the town where this house is located.
