How are you paying your house cleaners? Long distance

So the question is, how do you pay someone to do a house cleaning or some other odd job for you that is long distance? A number of our workers understand upfront that we will be sending them a company check as soon as they finish the job with pictures. We’ve always paid and once a person is paid once they’re cool. The challenge is when we post an add/ gig for an new area.. You get somebody on there that says they need to be paid as soon as they finish or they won’t do the job. Basically, they start singing a sad song about how they have just enough money to do the job, but they need to be paid immediately. If it’s a trust issue then I need to do better at communicating that they will get paid in a way that they will believe. If I’m getting people that down on their  luck then maybe I need to find another person that has more than just enough gas money to get to the job.
