Plumber Repair Responsibility
Hi All! I have a property that was having issues with flooding in the basement. We initially replaced the sump pump and within the next week learned it was an issue with the sewer line that needed to be repaired. During the repair of the sewer line, there was a huge back up of sewage that caused the brand new sump pump to fail and need to be replaced. In this situation, who would be responsible for the cost to replace the sump pump, the property owner or the plumber that was repairing the sewer line? Any type of direction to handle the situation would be greatly appreciated!
