I heard a recent interview where Warren Buffet stated that IF he could BUY a couple thousand single family homes HE WOULD. I am just wondering if anyone could tell me WHY can't he? everyone knows he has the money to buy them and heaven knows their are enough homes out there to buy, so what exactly would prevent him from making those purchases.

I ask this simply because I am in a learning phase right now and I am curious as to what anyone has to say about the market today. I failed miserably back in mid 2000 so I am just looking for whatever advantages or advise I can get.

thank you
