Tampa vs Orlando Investion

Hey guys! Happy New Year. I am a new investor and I currently have three investment properties in Utah. Like many other housing markets, Utah has sky rocketed and I want to invest out of state where it is more affordable. This will be my first out of state investment and I am looking at Tampa or Orlando area. Does anyone have any insights on either of these areas? Which neighborhoods are good to invest in/where I can easily rent out the house long term? I am looking to buy a 3 bed 2 bath. If there are any realtors or property managers reading this feel free to reach out to me! I would love to chat!

Thank you

Daniella

@Daniella DiBenedetto I live in FL and can tell you that to me, Tampa and Orlando are both very expensive markets with lots of competition. That’s not to say there aren’t deals or investments, but it’s not easy. Where I live in Fort Lauderdale, It is equally as expensive, if not more so. For this reason, I’ve started investing in emerging markets on the SW coast of FL and central FL.

The two cities are Cape Coral and Ocala. Currently, I’m building a new build 4/3 in Cape Coral through a turnkey company. Total all in cost is about $265k and I only had to put 10% down. Rents are $2300/mo and post construction appraisal is $340k-$410k depending on location. City growth is 7% each year right now and there’s no stop in sight! Just got to find the deals! Happy to connect and share my experiences. Good luck!
