Hey everyone,

I am looking to find a website that will show me the floor plan of a specific adress I'm interested in.

Currently i'm looking for information about Milwaukee but in general about other places in the US will be great also.

Thanks

@Omer Bar most likely you'll have to go there and draw it up yourself. (Get yourself a laser measure, I have a Bosch, was about $70)

Here is a little background: the majority of Milwaukee houses have been built in the 1920 and in the 1960s, so plans were either prints (for the common folk) or hand drawn by an architect (for the wealthy).

If you see enough houses in Milwaukee you start to notice that many are very similar or identical - blueprints were literally prints and you could choose model A, B or C. It seems to me that sometimes there were modifiactions made on site, perhaps a few bucks to the framers, so they would create a bump out for the kitchen.

Even today, when you build new construction, the city requires 5 full sets of paper prints to review and approve; they get rubber stamped and I believe archived, but I don't know how long they keep them.

I am not aware of any digitalization of approved building plans.
