Home Depot 2% Rebate Saved Me Money on My Last Few Rehabs

I found that the REI 2% rebate program to be extremely helpful in my last couple of rehabs. I spent over $30,000 at Home Depot and received a rebate check of $600. If you are doing lots of rehab and repair work, or own several rentals I would sign up for the program. You also get additional discounts on paint and appliances.

Next time, try coupling that with the Bid Room at Home Depot and you will REALLY see savings!  Your purchase has to be over $1,500 (which is a slam dunk on rehab projects).  Take your "shopping list" to the pro desk and tell them that you'd like to have it put through the Bid Room.  The result will be to your delight!

Also, make sure that you go to the same Home Depot when at all possible, and use your pro account.  This will increase your discounts at the bid room as the onsight manager has an override function for even deeper discounts for loyalty to the store.

We recently did a smaller rehab project that cost just over $4K in materials from HD prior to our bid room request.  Our total afterwards was $3,399.31 after the bid room.  So, it is well worth the trip to the pro desk.  Just think of what a $30K bid would get you!

Best of luck to you!
