First time having contractors do work and a couple questions

I have a couple questions about what I've seen so far from my first time having contractors work on a house. First of all, I'm having them put laminate floors down in about 1000 sf of the house. This includes a foyer, living room, 3 bedrooms, 2 small halls, and 4 closets. In two days, the 2 man crew has only got the living room and foyer done. It may be half done, but I'd say not quite. Now I don't have any experience laying laminate floors, but this pace seems really slow to me. I removed all of the old flooring, scraped the glue off of the concrete, removed all the baseboards, and swept up all of the dirt so all they needed to do was put down the underlayment and flooring. In your experience, approximately how long should it take a couple guys to get this done. Second, when I stopped by today to check the progress I found two empty beer bottles on my island. Now I'm not quite sure how to feel about this. There were two bottles for two guys, so I don't get the feeling that they were drinking all day. Maybe they just each had a beer after they finished for the day, but what's bothering me is that I know if I was working in someone's house not only would I not even consider drinking beer there, but even if I did I would never leave the evidence behind for the homeowner to see. Seems unprofessional to me, but like I said, this is a first for me.
