Window Ventilation Codes?

Hi - Are there generally window ventilation codes that designate a certain amount of windows that need to operate vs fixed? I know in bedrooms there needs to be egress, but in a study, etc. are you required *generally* speaking to make a certain number of windows operable?

Prefer to switch out some of the casements for fixed to save on cost.
