Where to invest in Texas?
Hi all,
I'm looking to expand my portfolio and pick up my first property in Texas within the next few months. I've been doing a research and trying to pick a market to focus on, but Texas is such a large state that I'm having a hard time doing so. I'm looking for a market that has stable population and job growth where I can find multi families preferably under $250k for traditional long term rentals. In addition, I'm also looking to get started with short term rentals, so a market that has a decent tourism is of importance as well. Is there a single market that would be well suited for both of these? If not, which markets would you suggest and why?
Thanks!

What do you think?
You are already seeing that. Tesla makes the news for building their factory in Austin, but Toyota has had a huge manufacturing plant in San Antonio for years. Tech companies are relocating/expanding operations to San Antonio - Hulu comes to mind. You also have USAA and Valero, which have created thousands of direct jobs and even more indirect jobs that are stable and a big part of the city's growth.
