Builing a Duplex for a Dummy

Sam Mao
Posted
Hi BP,

My family and I have been in a restaurant business for almost a decade. As my parents getting older, we're been looking at ventures that are more passive. So recently we started looking into REI. Our area of interest is the neighborhood around the University of Houston. We found a vacant lot that is 5000 sqft - perhaps we can fit 2 duplexes on it(?). What are the processes involved in building a duplex from ground here? Also what do you say the cost per sqft for a 1500 sqft duplex with mid-range finish?

Thank you,
Sam
