Wellington, KS real estate

Hi,

My husband was looking at a property in Wellington, KS. I was looking at population data and I found that the population has decreased by 9% since 2000 in this area.

Does this mean that this by itself doesn’t make it a good place to invest ?

Curious to hear your thoughts especially people who live in the area?
