Syndicator's Partner- Not Engaged

Seeing if a syndicator is the right fit for me.  He works with a partner whom my syndicator says has the cash and the property management experience.  Syndicator (whom I know personally) is more of the deals guy and also has some cash.  I've virtually met his partner but otherwise, he isn't engaged.  Don't see him on the podcasts or webinars or social events.  I'm assured by the syndicator he can take over if something happens but, his shyness tells me he's the funds, not the brains.

The deal I'm looking at with the syndicator is very solid and his references say he's thorough and a great reporter but, there's this. I feel goof about him and the deal otherwise... Thoughts?

@Account Closed mentioned: Some people are not comfortable putting themselves out there.  That doesn't mean he doesn't know his stuff, it means he doesn't like doing podcasts/webinars/social events.  I know many really smart, successful people (net worth well into 9 figures) that are very private people. You will never see them on Youtube or social media or podcasts.

I would not back away from someone simply because they don't want to do a podcast or webinar. But, if you are getting a shady feeling about him in general, then step away.  Having a good feeling about the sponsors of a syndication is probably the most important thing you can do when choosing where to place your money.
