Old r22 ac units and the new law starting 2020!

I purchased 13 units with 6 hvac units that use r22 refrigerant. I was speaking to a good friend of mine who told me these systems will be obsolete in 2020. And I can only use recycled refrigerant at that time. The cost of replacing 6 of these units are going to kill me. Any suggestions. I do have money set aside for renovations in the units roughly 4K per unit 28k 2 units are vacant so I plan on using the money immediately on 2 units 2 upgrade them. But know I have to replan if I have to change these ac units.
