Advice for curb appeal MF
Hello BP,
I'm looking for ways to add some curb appeal to this MF property. It's a single story 4 unit complex located in California within a rural area . It's a desert setting with dry and high temperatures year round. I'm open to suggestions I'm looking for something with low maintenance and investor friendly as units are fully rented but it could use some curb appeal. Its conveniently located off the main road within in the rural that leads to the freeway, lots of eye traffic. Also looking for advice on upgrading the dirt parking lot with some type of gravel/ stone that's least expensive. Parking lot causes lots of mud with rain making a mess. Thanks in advance!
Plant some low water trees and bushes mesquites and oleanders. Decomposed granite for the driveway and parking lot.
The house just blends into the surrounding dirt. I’d paint the exterior for sure.
Thank you all for your input!
@Lisa Misuraca Do you have any experience/advice with using decomposed granite for parking lots. Also @Cathie Kovacs I agree with you on that statement, what colors schemes would you suggest?
Painting the houses white would make it pop. But you also will see the dirt accumulate a lot easier too...
Any kind of low water/maintenance plant life would add a lot imo.
Paint the exterior a color that fits the area, but pops - think grays and blues. Add a rock garden or low maintenance plants. You have a large parking lot so think about what you can do to make that work harder for you as well. Lastly, I personally don't like the chain link fence. While functional, it gives off a warehouse feeling, not an inviting apartment community. Probably not worth the investment to switch that up, but wanted to point that out.
They obviously don’t live in the desert, the paint is fine. Oleanders along the fence the fence is an asset. And add some shade trees.I can’t see if the units have yards in the back but you could put up courtyards in the front for each unit with fencing of you choice it’ll add a lot of curb appeal and safety and privacy.
