I Need to Find and Assistant ASAP
Hi BiggerPockets!
I have experienced success in the last 7 years. With a portfolio of around 100 units including apartaments, houses and mobile homes, I am still doing most of the work myself. I have 2 property managers because I invest in two different cities in North Georgia. I have a team for maintenance which I coordinate. Usually my managers send me the maintenance request and I send it to my crew. Up to now, my team consists of my wife, my maintenance crew and my 2 property managers. I hired an accountant that handles most of my bookkeeping.
At this point, I am overwhelmed! I NEED offload some of the responsibilities. What kind of assistant should I look for? I was thinking maybe an asset manager who can help me coordinate maintenance, repairs, supervise employees, etc, so I can focus more on acquisition and other tasks that I enjoy doing.
I am sure most investors have felt this way. What position did you hire, and would you do the same again? What would you hire first instead?
Thanks in advance!

I think it would be good to track what you are spending your time on each day. Write down what you are doing every hour for 2 weeks. Then look at what you can offload to someone else and who can do that. I have done this several times and it made me hire a virtual assistant (VA). It has been such a blessing! No one can really answer who you should hire until you realize what is taking up your time and how much of it. Then you can make a game plan.
