Best Multifamily Syndication Course?

Question

Hey everyone! I'm considering attending a MF Syndication conference/course - one that is dedicated to teaching the process beginning to end. Whatever option I choose, I would prefer it includes a coach/mentor available as a resource post-conference for accountability & feedback.

Who out there has attended one and would rate it highly? I greatly appreciate all of your input!

Lifestyles Unlimited.

We would never have considered it 10 years ago, but my wife and I have syndicated 3 properties and are invested with other members in 25 other ones across the country, totaling over 4,000 units  We've completely replaced our W2 income.  My wife has retired and I will retire this year.

They've been in business over 30 years and have over 50K members.  Can anyone else say that?

Hey Luke, as already mentioned there are several courses/mentorships that you can choose from. Each vary in price and some will be a better fit depending on what your goals are (some focus on smaller assets while others tend to focus on larger deals). I am apart of a group called Thinkmultifamily and have enjoyed my experience. Lots of great courses/groups out there teaching syndication. They all vary quite a bit in price.  You can be spending up to $50K on some of the courses I've seen.  If you are looking for just the course content, you can piece together a lot of it online through either free resources or low cost courses.  The big benefit in the top name group courses is the network that you get access to.

They have 11 Single Family and 11 Multifamily (Apartment) mentors who work directly with members acquiring properties.  All of them have a significant amount of experience and training.  Their role is to guide you through the acquisition process to ensure you don't get yourself in trouble.  They will also prod you if they feel you are being overly cautious.

There are also several operational consultants who have many years experience working in apartment property management.  They are there to help if you run into any issues after acquiring the property and need operational support.

I know of no other organization that provides such a detailed and broad level of support as Lifestyles, and have compared notes with many people that have joined other programs.

To clarify one comment, Lifestyles has a yearly conference in Houston coming up in March. I'd encourage you to look into that.  However, the organization does not revolve around one conference.  They have multiple classes available, online and in person, every week.

@Luke Grieshop I can only speak personally on behalf of RE Mentor's courses because I attended many of their courses in 2017 and 2018.  They've been around longer than most of the multifamily syndication educators and their courses do a great job of giving you the foundation that you need.  I know a lot of people that speak highly of Rod Khleif's courses, but have never taken his courses personally.  If you'd like more information, you're welcome to message me and we can discuss it further.
