What to do?

Someone contacted me about their home and their foreclosure situation. He is 3 months late on his mortgage of $1250 a month. He said the bank told him if he makes one payment, they will not foreclose. He is asking for a $500 loan to help him pay so he keep his home. I don't want to loan him $500 without getting something...like the deed or my name on the deed. My problem is...I don't know what to do. What are my options?
