Don't want to use agent's inspector for REO.

We just entered into a contract to purchase an REO in a neighboring county. I found the property myself and contacted the listing agent directly. Apparently, she's a teammate with another agent who she assigned as my "buyer's agent". Ok, fine, whatever. :roll:

The problem is I do NOT want to use HER recommended termite and house inspector. I don't trust agent recommended inspectors as there is a glaring conflict of interest. :protest:

Am I being unreasonable here by choosing my own team to conduct inspections of the property WE are purchasing? Luckily, I was able to get the home inspection scheduled next Monday with my "buyer's agent" reluctant cooperation, but she's being very difficult with the termite company I chose. :pissed:

Any advice outside of simply telling the agents to "pound sand"? We do want to buy this property, we just want to make sure we're getting an honest evaluation of what we're getting.
