What type of auction? sheriff sale, trustee sale, court house steps, bank, Hubzu etc? there are very real differences between a Trustee type auction and Hubzu type auction.

Do your due diligence and know what lien your buying. The two biggest mistakes are :

1) Buying a junior lien

2) Over bidding
