Has anyone ever invested with an owner of a property , that wasn’t willing to sell their property because the offer wasn’t what they could be satisfied with but they were willing to allow you to build on their raw land for a percentage of the profits, after buying in on the investment?

I've never done that, but I don't see why you couldn't. You would just have to be very, very careful about how the contract is set up. Absolutely work with an attorney to make sure the owner can't pull the rug--or in this case, the dirt--out from under you. What kind of percentage is the owner looking for? What kind of asset would you build? Would it be for a long-term or short-term rental? Single family or multi?
