Real Estate Investment Trust. It is similar to buying a Mutual Fund, but the assets inside the REIT are real estate based. I would rather own the properties and obtain the 5 different returns owning real estate will give you that a REIT or any other traditional financial product can give you. Those returns are?

1) Cash on Cash

2) Tax breaks

3) Appreciation

4) Mortgage pay down

5) Hedge against inflation
