Weird things you've found in houses you bought?

I'll bet @paulsandhu will have a take, but I was just thinking back as I was answering another post and had to chuckle....

So what are some oddities you've seen in houses that you've bought to flip or rent?

One I recently bought.....I couldn't find the meters for the gas or the water. Yes there were shutoffs at the house or beneath it, but no meters. Hmmm I thought....how strange. I was looking out by the street when the water meter reader wandered by and asked 'are you the new owner'? I said yep. He asked 'are you looking for the meter'? I said yep. He said 'hop in your truck and follow me' with a big grin on his face..... Turns out they were across a creek and inside the fenced yard of another property. That was a first. Pipes run through the creek. :-)

This other thing I've seen this twice so it must be common......handcuffs or shackles bolted to the walls..... Hmmmm
