My name is Susan Maneck and I'm a retired JSU professor. I started investing in South Jackson around 2011 when I realized the house I had bought from HUD some eight years earlier was now under water. I could either cry about that or buy up the neighborhood, so buy up the neighborhood I did! I ended up owning six houses on my street.
