Representing myself in a home purchase
Here's an odd question, but I haven't been able to find the answer elsewhere. I have a California broker's license, but I'm not affiliated with any kind of real estate agency - in fact I have no experience in residential real estate at all (my background is entirely in CRE).
My girlfriend is purchasing a home here, and I'm wondering if I can act as her agent and collect the buyer's agent's fee. Or would I have to be affiliated with an agency?
Thanks in advance for anyone who might have some insights on this. Much appreciated!
