Mountain States - Where to Invest in Property?

Chris Allport
Posted

Hi there everyone,

First time poster here. I'm curious about whether you guys have any insight on areas within Montana, Idaho or Wyoming that are showing early signs of momentum. Very broad parameters. Would look to rent either a single family home or multiunit property. Either as a vacation rental or longterm stay. In terms of price/budget - it'd be in the 500,000 - 1.2M range. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Any advice would be greatly apprenticed!

I’m an investor and realtor in Cheyenne WY.  Our area has had a strong and steady tenant base since I’ve been here, 2007. Rent continues to go up and our appreciation had been strong. Our real estate prices have increased as most of the nation. Multi units usually run an average of $100k-$125k per door right now. I have some short term furnished vacation rentals and they stay pretty rented. If you want to talk further, I’d be happy to.
