Potential major issue after inspection
Hello experts,
I recently submitted an offer on a duplex and the seller has accepted the offer. I have not personally seen the house since I dont live in the same state. We just finished full inspection of the duplex and there are few major potential issues in three area: The roof is old and might need replacement / the furnace in one of the unit is old and need replacement as well / there could be some issue with plumbing with loose pipe as well.
The inspector is still working on the report but since I only have 7 business days left in the inspection period, I'd like to get your thoughts on this. I definitely like the house and see a lot of potential with this one. I won the bid 2 days into the market with 7 other offers. The final accepted offer is 8% over the listed price. The sellers prefer to close as soon as possible. I want to prepare myself as much as I can before i get the inspection report. There is clearly going to be some major repair/replacement and since there were other offers on the table, the seller might not be open to negotiate much.
What do you guys think I should do or prepare myself with?
Thanks much in advance!
