Investing During A Crisis

Most conversations I'm having with investors / business owners who have been through other crashes are all excited about the opportunities to come over the next 6-12 months. Maybe even 18 months down the road. Once there is more blood in the streets for a longer period of time, the real deals will uncover themselves. So I'm interested to hear what you're doing now to prepare yourself for these opportunities? What strategies are you implementing right now?

I've recently sent out a direct mail campaign and have a plan to "touch" these home owners every month over the next couple of months. But what else can us new investors be doing? What should we do to make sure we are ready to capitalize on these opportunites that are coming?
