You got it. There is certainly increased uncertainty which means the risk you are taking has increased. With greater risk you should demand greater upside potential to offset the increased risk. You still just have to ask and then react to the sellers response. My question about whether you thought the property had lost value may have come across as flippant but that was not my intent. My intent was to draw out greater detail in how you were evaluating the situation. Which you did in subsequent posts. Nice job.
I would add, based on one of your previous responses, you should never pay full price. No matter what the market is doing.
