Internationals Investing in the US on a Work Visa

Hey everyone,

I am a Canadian currently living in the US (Jacksonville, FL) on a TN Visa. I am eligible to work here for three years and I have the option to renew for 2 year periods subsequent to my initial term. However, within the terms of my visa, it states that I cannot have any secondary employment. I am very interested in beginning my rental real estate investment journey, but I want to make sure it is legal. If anyone has faced this obstacle or has any insight into the topic, please reply when you a chance.

Hope you're all having a nice holiday!
