Investing in International Markets

Brandon Wiitala
Posted

I am 25 and currently live in Thailand (I am originally from America). Right now I make my money teaching, but I also teach online which is bringing me around $1000 a month in extra income that I do not touch. I want to use this extra income to start investing in real estate and I am very interested to learn more about investing in international markets. I realize that every country is different and has various laws and barriers that I must overcome in order to invest. I am not caught up in staying in Thailand, my goal is to move to a country that I believe will provide great investing opportunities. I was wondering if anyone had any experience investing outside of there home country? And if so, what are some practices or steps I should take to begin learning and understanding investing abroad.

My goal is to build a portfolio that spreads to countries around the world and take my love for living abroad to capitalize on investment opportunities in various countries.
