Poor quality rehabs?

My fiancé and I are moving across the country to Pittsburgh and started looking for a primary residence to live in. The houses, on the outside, have so much character and then when we enter the house, it’s usually low quality fix and flips. Cheap counter tops, cheap bathrooms, cheap everything. It’s almost frustrating! And then what makes it worse is they’re asking for an outrageous amount.

Some of the nicer places keep the history in place. When you walk in, you see the history and greatness that once was, and hopefully soon will be again.

Maybe its the price point I was looking at.

Is it just me or are fix and flip market just overflooded with ikea cabinets and the plastic like counter top?

I went through one yesterday coming top for auction, new furnace, new HW tank, new 100amp electrical from the street & throughout, new windows, roof, facia, siding. But the plumbing from the upper bathroom runs exposed down the stairway wall into the basement, but at least they painted the PVC & PEX the same color as the walls !!!

For your search I'd be looking at an untouched original & do it yourself.
