How do you get a look at far away properties?

Long distance investors (or anyone looking to buy a house)

What are you doing to see the properties you are interested in but that are far away from where you live? I live in FL and I am entertaining investing in Pittsburgh. There are houses right outside the city listed low, but there is only one picture in many of the listings. Is there any other way to see the properties aside from relying on a local agent to take pics and send them to you?

Thanks,

Don't step over dollars to pick up nickles.  This is a major investment. Go there, see the properties, see the neighborhoods and meet the people involved. You are going to rely on them for a long time to come and you don't need drama. Check them out in person. It's FAR  cheaper to go and see it for yourself than to regret the mistake of someone else's guess as to what you'd like.

For $374 Filight and Hotel. Free internet too ;-)
