Out of State BRRRRs Insight

I wanted to ask if anyone has experience with out of state BRRRR. I've been hunting for deals in TX, but find them hard to come by.

My first instinct is to research a market, and I have some basic criteria laid out. But, before I do that - I wanted to ask the BP community if they have OOS BRRRed:

  • How did you find the market you wanted to BRRR in?
  • I've read Brian Green's book on OOOS investing, is this the best methodology in becoming comfortable with the market?
  • How did you handle the rehab, financing?

All insight is appreciated.

Hi Chirag,

You are in Austin.  Why don't you look at San Antonio?  Why are you trying to go out of state?  You don't need to. There are many opportunities in TX.
