Bandit signs: why use basic text only?

I’m NOT asking if you should or shouldn’t use them.

I’m curious why most people make their signs look so simple or hand written.  Why not use a logo and make them look more professional?  Does it work better to lead people to believe you are just an individual looking to sell a property?  Are you trying to look inexperienced?  Or is being a business a deterrent?

@Jason Munger because most of these hand written signed are probably made by people that just came back from a $30k guru bootcamp and they cant afford to get signed printed. They're already $10's of thousands in debt before even getting a single lead.

Because the person responding is already expecting you to lowball. If you go to a huge Chevy dealership are you expecting a better trade in value than if you go to shady Joes used cars? It limits the calls to people who are actually motivated and looking for any lifeline as opposed to people looking for fair market value.

I'm going to provide a smart alleck response.  Make your bandit signs look cutting-edge professional by including a QR code of your information.  Some bus stops now include a QR code so you can scan it with your smartphone to learn when the next bus is expected to come by.  Many online sites provide a QR code alternative to entering a long string of letters and numbers (for setting up 2-factor authentication, for example).  Bar codes revolutionized supermarket checkout procedures.  Why not harness technology to revolutionize real estate procedures?  You might need to develop an associated smartphone app to make the QR code work.

@Jason Munger They may have found success using that type of sign, so they decide to stick with it. Spending more doesnt necessarily translate to a higher chance of success

But I’ve seen professionally printed signs in single color and use a font that looks like hand writing.

I understand printing in color costs more, but why not make them at least look nice or use a logo.
