Is anyone investing in Florida market?

Hello BP,

Looking for my first “deal.” I’m tying to stay in a local market since this will be my first time. I’m in the central Florida area. What is the best way to find a deal in the market? Better to look in a more populated area? Orlando, Jacksonville etc? Or a smaller market maybe on the coast or in between these bigger markets? Any input would be greatly appreciated especially if you have history in the market.

Thank you,

Jake Walls

Hey Jacob, what kind of properties are you targeting? There can be a lot of competition in all of the areas you mentioned, but less competition as you get a little further from the larger cities. Are you looking to house hack or trying to find a pure rental property or a flip? I think the answer to your question without knowing a lot of those details is, it depends. There are ways to win and find deals in any of the markets you mentioned, it really comes down to your situation and weighing the pros and cons against each other for each.
