So Cal Investors - how do you do it?

Hey So Cal investors,

I'm currently in Denver and absolutely love it but i've always dreamed of living in SD. Just out of curiosity, especially to the younger investors like me with limited resources, how do you buy investment property when its so expensive? How do you make money investing there? I feel with the high cost, you'd be lucky just to break even. I ask this as a mid-twenties young investor who aspires to do this as my full-time job. Thanks guys!

There are a lot of investors hitting SD hard. Margins seem to be pretty tight, but I know a couple groups consistently making money.

Here are some of them that blog:

Bill Tan's club has a forum with active investors down there:

North San Diego has another group that is good.
