Hello all,

Looking for input on the Midtown Phillips neighborhood in Minneapolis.  I am looking at a duplex in the neighborhood near to the hospital but want to get some honest feedback on the neighborhood.  I know it is not the best area but would like to know if things are improving and whether it is a worthy area to invest in for buy and hold strategy.    Any input on the area would be appreciated!!

Thanks in advance.

Joe

@Joseph D Fridgen

Hey there, I am a local investor and also an agent in Minneapolis and I think the Phillips area has some parts that are much nicer than others and in that sense it is very "block to block". None of which are "war zones" or dangerous areas. Some areas of South Minneapolis are very hot and the prices have gotten to be very inflated. I think in Phillips you can find some good properties that are at price points that make much more sense than other areas. I have a colleague that invests in east Phillips and gets great cash flow and easily finds well qualified tenants. Good luck in your search. Let me know if you want to connect further and I would be happy to do so.

Best,

Kurt
