Rising interest rates

Zach Mannon
Posted

Good morning everyone, I had a question about rising interest rates. With the interest rates on the rise is there a end in sight? How does this effect the buying and selling of properties?  Is it wise time to buy investment properties? Thanks.

@Zach Mannon interest rates tend to go up with inflation. Inflation tends to cause real estate prices to go up. Inflation also tend to cause rental rates to go up.  Given that; it seems now is a good time to buy with long term  fixed rates on solidly cash flowing properties.

On the other hand buying commercial properties with short to medium term calls on the loans is a high interest rate risk.
