I have a question about flipping a house
Hi everyone, I am a newbie to the real estate world, and my wife and I are in the middle of flipping our first house. We recently have reached a new problem that we need help handling. The house has an old blacktop parking pad that is falling apart/is practically gone. The pad measures 24 feet by 32 feet. We plan to re-pour this pad. The house also has a 8 foot wide driveway, and it is 250 feet long. The driveway has damage to it including cracks, missing some chunks on some of the edges, and some sinking in the middle of the driveway. I suggested we re-pour the driveway, and factor the cost into the total expenses for the flip, my wife disagrees. My reasoning behind this is that if we do a fresh pour of the pad and driveway, it will look seamless, and it will give peace of mind to the potential buyers. My wife does not feel that we will get the return, and feels like we should pour the back pad, but the driveway condition should be accepted as-is for the new owners.
Any thoughts on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
