The future of appraisals

Hello fellow BP members, I recently was studying for one of my real estate courses in college and ran across a topic on appraisals and it really got me thinking. It was discussing how modern technology is affecting the appraisal profession. It had me thinking about the future of the profession. Do you guys and gals think that the technology of the future will completely wipe out the profession of actual people going out and doing appraisals?
